Abstract

L'invention concerne une machine et un procédé d'abattage d'un petit front de taille. Ladite machine comporte un châssis qui, de préférence, est articulé et présente un auvent Le châssis est parallèle à un petit front de taille et un dispositif d'abattage est halé le long d'un guide pour abattre le front. Le châssis est déplacé en direction du front, à mesure que celui-ci est abattu, par des vérins montés entre le châssis et des dispositifs de soutenement situés dans des galeries à proximité du front. Le dispositif d'abattage peut comporter un godet ou un soc et est halé le long du front soit par un moteur situé dans l'une des galeries, soit par deux moteurs dont un se trouve dans chaque galerie. Le dispositif d'abattage peut être dirigé au moyen de vérins du châssis. Application à des opérations d'abattage de charbon par la technique d'abattage à petit front de taille.
