Abstract

The forklift has its standard tines replaced by a set which comprises a number of parallel rods (m). These are attached to a crossbar at the forklift end, and are adjustable transversely (k) for positioning. These rods slide into cutouts in the sides of a pallet holding a pile of paper from a printing machine. The rods are raised underneath the paper, adjusting themselves to the underface by means of a swivel joint (j). At the same time, a top clamp descends vertically, sliding on a guide bar. The pile of paper is held between tines and clamp and can be lifted off the pallet.
