Abstract

The mower has a frame supported by two pairs of wheels and has a drive motor above and between them. Handle-bars extends at one end for control of the machine by an operator. At the other end a transverse beam mounts a rotatable disc at each end. One of the discs is driven by the motor via a belt and pulley and an endless belt extending around the discs carries cutting element. The belt is of trapezoidal section and is built up from superimposed elements (50) connected together by rivets (56) with heads (43). A cutting element (31) is integral with a plate (40) at right angles to it and the plate is secured to the belt by two adjacent rivets (56).
