Abstract

A test rig for running-in hydraulic gear pumps consists of an electric motor which drives the gear pump with a torque meter mounted on the driving shaft. The outpout from the pump passes through a filter and electro-magnetic flow control valve which is controlled by an electronic circuit. The fluid then flows through a hydraulic motor which drives a tachometer which indicates the output quantity. Signals indicating the values of torque, pressure, and flow are generated by the circuits and transmitted to the control circuit and also displayed in the digital display units.
