Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif renfermant un contraceptif. Ce dispositif renferme un gel contractif de pH inférieur à 3,0 et comprend une enveloppe oblongue 10 renfermant le gel et présentant une extrémité d'insertion 14 s'étendant au-delà du gel; et une poche soudée dans des conditions hygiéniques, entourant l'enveloppe. Le joint de soudure à une extrémité de la poche recouvre l'extrémité d'insertion 14 de l'enveloppe 10 pour fixer cette dernière à la poche et en fermer l'extrémité d'insertion. L'enveloppe 10 est affaiblie près de l'endroit où elle est fixée à la poche en vue d'être déchirée lorsque cette dernière est ouverte pour donner accès à l'enveloppe et celle-ci est tirée par rapport à l'extrémité de recouvrement de la poche de manière à exercer un effort de cisaillement dans l'enveloppe près de son extrémité d'insertion 14, pour séparer ainsi l'enveloppe de la poche. L'invention concerne également le gel contraceptif utilisé dans ce dispositif.
