Abstract

Two curved section segments (1, 2), mitred in the roof area (10), abutting with their end faces and detachably connected there, are supported with their floor-side end portions on a bottom sill. The section segments (1, 2) are formed from U-shaped channel sections directed inwards into the gallery with their webs. Clamping plates (11) bolted to one another are arranged on each longitudinal side of the channel sections (1, 2). The clamping plates (11) jointly overlap the section flanges (5) of both channel sections. The clamping plates (11) are supported against one another only with their end portions (15) remote from the mitre joint (13). Such a roof connection not only enables the available space to be better utilised during transport but also ensures a satisfactory connection of the channel sections (1, 2) and can yield to a limited extent during peak loads occurring for a short duration.
