Abstract

The body of the goods vehicle is enclosed and is accessible from the rear only. Its floor is equipped with two hydraulic cylinders (14, 16) operating two endless belts (30, 62). One belt (62) is fitted with a load bearing plate (76) which can reciprocate longitudinally down one side of the body. The other belt (30) has two plates, one (78) reciprocating longitudinally down the other side, the other plate (50) reciprocating transversely at the front end. The weight of the cases (22) inside is borne on rollers and pallets, the load plates engaging their undersides to move them around until the required one is opposite the rear unloading door.
