Abstract

This coffee-making machine has a metering vessel (G) for receiving hot water, a brewing funnel (B) for receiving ground coffee, and a control device (N). In the metering vessel (G) there are two level electrodes (ET, EK) for metering the hot water for a cup or a pot of coffee, and a minimum electrode (Emin). Arranged between the metering vessel (G) and the brewing funnel (B) is a pressure-dependent separating device in the form of a rising pipe (S). By this means, the metering vessel (G) is separated from the brewing funnel (B) during the metering of the hot water. The supply of hot water to the metering vessel (G) can be switched on by means of a switch (T, K) and is switched off when one of the level electrodes (ET, EK) has been reached. The relevant level electrode (ET, EK) is connected to a device (R2) for automatically switching on the supply of steam on completion of the metering of hot water. Owing to the pressure of the steam entering the metering vessel (G), the hot water is pushed via the rising pipe into the brewing funnel (B).
