On fait réagir le produit obtenu dans l'étape a avec un halogénure organique en milieu anhydre, à une température d'au moins 60 degrés C et une pression absolue supérieure à 0, pour obtenir un thiocarbamate et un sel; c. On isole le thiocarbamate formé à partir du mélange réactionnel de l'étape b.
