Abstract

The comminuting device has a housing with two side walls and with a bottom (8) in the form of a semi-cylinder shell. Mounted in the housing is a rotating drum (1) having discs (4), on which cutters (6) and throw shovels (9) are arranged. The bottom (8) is designed as a friction bottom, so that the cereal collecting between the drum (1) and the friction bottom can be conveyed again into the path of rotation of the cutters (6) and throw shovels (9). For this purpose, the friction bottom consists of a metal sheet (12), in which cut-out and pressed-in tabs (15) are formed on one side. The striking edges (16) occurring thereby are in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation (21) of the cutters (6) and throw shovels (9), are supported on the cutting edges (17) and thereby increase the comminuting effect of the cutters (6).
