Abstract

Procédé pour fabriquer par boudinage à chaud des pièces creuses à paroi épaisse en aluminium ou alliages d'aluminium, caractérise en ce que l'ébauche pleine est chauffée à une température comprise entre 350 et 500 degrés C, de préférence à 450 degrés C, est introduite dans l'outil de la presse à boudiner à chaud, est soumise à une opération de boudinage à chaud et est travaillée par un mandrin dont la partie venant la première en contact avec l'ébauche présente, en coupe le long de l'axe longitudinal, la forme d'une ellipse ou d'une courbe en anse de panier se raccordant à un cône et dont les points extrêmes sont reliés à une partie conique du mandrin à laquelle fait suite une partie cylindrique, puis une partie de conicité opposée, la surface du mandrin qui possède la section la plus grande étant constituée par une arête cylindrique.
