Abstract

The method and appts. are for terminating multi-conductor flat flexible cable. The connector assembly includes a clamp member which initially engages a multi-conductor flat cable and drives the conductors thereof to the desired spacing, which conforms to the fixed spacing of the terminals in a connector housing member. The clamped cable is engaged with the terminal carrying housing of the connector assembly to effecti an insulation displacing engagement of the terminal with their respective conductors.
