Abstract

The flat contact block for retention of a linear array of insulated wires up to three groups may be accommodated with an insulated block with a cover plate. Wires are in pairs, each having a contra-wire, and these are formed from a flat strip with a pointed end. The centre-to-centre distance between each pair of wires is twice that of the breadth of each. The wires are clamped between fins in parallel with the wires and transverse to clamping blocks in the main insulator. The three wire grouping is designated to cater for single phase circuits with two power leads and an earth connector. Coupling is by the "pierced contact" method.
