Abstract

L'invention concerne les procédés de dépôt chimique en phase vapeur. Elle se rapporte à un procédé de dépôt chimique en phase vapeur mis en oeuvre à l'aide d'un plasma à haute fréquence établi par une source externe dans un tube de verre dans lequel circulent des vapeurs convenables des précurseurs du verre à former sur les parois du tube. Il se forme une matière particulaire, qui vient se déposer sur les parois du tube. Le plasma peut aussi être utilisé pour la consolidation des particules en un verre transparent. Application à la réalisation de fibres optiques à faibles pertes.
