Abstract

The sanitary fitting consists of a trough (10) provided with an orifice (11) which serves as the outlet for faecal material, urine and waste water from the shower. Underneath the orifice is a bent section of pipe (30) which can be rotated through 90 deg. by a lever (46) connected through an axle and bearing (42, 43) to a collar (41) wrapped around the bent pipe. Depending on what function the fitting is being used for, the bent pipe either rests over a sewage outlet (21) or a waste water outlet (23). A water pipe (51) connected to a three way tap (42) allows water to be fed to the shower unit (53) or to the flush (54, 16) for the through.
