Abstract

An automatic subscriber line testing device is for use in a telephone network. An automatic switching centre is connected to a divider stage to the individual subscriber posts while a processor is connected thereto in order to control it. The testing circuits are integral to the installation. This testing circuit has a collection of measurement and control sub circuits and a connection circuit having inputs from the auto-switches and the input divider stage. Communication circuits are connected to the connection circuit while the processor is connected to the measurement and control sub-circuits the control centre of the commutation circuits.
