Abstract

A tool for removing screw caps from bottles, jars etc. has a pair of curved pincer arms (11, 12) with handles (28, 29) one end and a pivot pin (16) at the other. The inside faces of the jaws are at two different levels, the lower level parts (17) being of larger diameter than the other parts (18) and the former having groups of gripping teeth (20) inside for larger caps, the other teeth being for smaller caps. When the larger jaws (17) are used, the smaller jaws (18) act as force limiters. At the junction between the jaws and arms are shaped extensions (24, 25) for use as bottle openers, also acting as supports for the hands when used as a srew cap remover.
