Abstract

The spotlight is particularly for use on motor vehicles, swivelling on its mounting, which has an opening accommodating its casting. The light casing has female components in the form of slides, open at one end only, accommodating the ball heads of adjusting screws. The slides each have (9) one or more portions of stirrup section, the two arms of the stirrup forming between them a groove narrower than the ball head, and through which the body of the screw (10) passes. The lengthwise axes of the slides are parallel to each other, and typically at right angles to the axis of the spotlight. The slides can be of plastics their dimensions being such as to grip the ball heads.
