Abstract

The door with interchangeable panelling (5) may be used on furniture or access openings. An in situ panel (5) can be rapidly replaced by one (6) of alternative aspect and a number of alternative fascia veneers (5, 6) are stored within the thickness of the door leaf (2). The door may have a leaf edge frame (2) which may contain two dry-jointed panels (5, 6). The panels (5, 6) may be contained by an edge upstand of the frame members (2) and a demountably fixed rear face panel (3). The rear panel (3) is side hung (4) to pivot relative to the frame (2) and the opposite side inc. a locking mechanism (4). The two contained panels (5, 6) may have alternative decorative designs on each of their major faces.
