Abstract

The Four-way medium distributor has two stable positions, and is pneumatically controlled, having a body with a pressure inlet, first and second outlets and an exhaust port. Passages connect the inlet to the outlets and the outlets to the exhaust port, each containing valves operated to shut off the first pressure passage and the second exhaust passage and simultaneously open the second pressure passage and the first exhaust passage and vice versa. The valves are mounted in pairs on two parallel spindles sliding in guides in the body, and the assemblies have surfaces holding the valves shut and which are of larger area than the valve working surfaces, being subjected to the pressure of the gaseous medium so as to lock them shut.
