Abstract

The suspension system for sliding curtains uses a rail (2) which is fixed directly from overhead brackets (4) with open (6) ring runners (5). The runners (5) are built into a strip (1) which is fixed to the top of the curtain and are designed to traverse the rail mounting brackets (4). The arrangement enables brackets to be located at intermediate points in the rail span, and the rail to adopt any desired plan geometry. The open ring runners (5) may describe 330 deg. of arc with the opening (6) centring on a vertical dia. and may be built into a polyamide fibre strip (1). The hanger brackets (4) may be of part-circular hook form with a diametric leg, and in this case are recessed (10) into the rail section. The bracket (4) is hung with the leg vertical and traversed by the ring gaps (6).
