Abstract

The equipment is for supporting the empty run of an endless conveyor, particularly of the belt type. The belt has a series of driving lugs across it at regular intervals, and where the empty run has to pass round one or more bends and must there be supported on the lug side. The support is in the form of a ring with supporting members (3) evenly spaced round it, and which rotates in the travel direction (L) of the empty run like a guide roller. The pitch of the members on the ring periphery matches that of the lugs (2) on the belt (1), so that each lug fits between two members.
