Abstract

The machine automatically palletises items, particularly bottles, being semi-automatic in operation with a collector table, a stacking station where the pallet is loaded, a grab head with lifting and transfer mechanism, and a frame moving up and down to align the items. The frame (5) functions as a former for packing material, particularly a semi-stiff sheet, and the layer of items transported by the grab head is used as a punch. The frame incorporates a mechanism folding and shaping the packing material, being preferably equipped with inflatable beads to reinforce the folds. It can also accommodate a quick-action gluing, seaming or clipping mechanism.
