Abstract

The plate is for fixing a window-pane or similar panel inside a sectional frame. The upper horizontal side of the frame has a lengthwise groove which houses the edge of the window pane. On the bottom side, the pane is pressed into a similar groove. The adjust and secure the window pane inside the frame, a small plate, preferably made of metal, and a screw are used, the plate containing a pre-drilled hole for insertion of the screw. When the plate is placed between the sections which form the upper horizontal side of the frame and the screw is tightened, the lower end of the screw exerts pressure on the upper horizontal edge of the pane. At the same time, the plate exerts pressure in an upwards direction, against the walls of the sections of the upper side of the frame.
