Abstract

The frame has standard components of uniform 'T' cross section, the stems (3) of the T's lying in the window plane and being of sufficient width to accommodate the spaced double glazed assembly (6) timber glazing bars (8) then being fixed in the angles of the T's to hold the assembly (6) in place. A seal (11) is provided between glazing bars (8) and assembly (6) and the installation sequence entails assembly of the frame (2), fixing in place of one side of the glazing bars (8) with seal (11), installation of the assembly (6), and finally fixing of the second side glazing bar with seal. Subsidiary glazing bars (9) can also be used, to simulate a sub-divided pane.
