Abstract

The bioler has a combustion chamber with tapered sides formed of a stell sheet with a refractory lining. There is a bant of burners at the base of the chamber and water tubes at the top. The bioler stands on an insulated base with a gap between the base and the burners. There is a space between the outside of the combustion chamber walls and the outer casing. This space is divided into two by vertical steel partitions. Combustion air enters this space at the bottom, flows up it in the outer half and down to the burners in the inner half. This provides good cooling of the outer casing combined with good preheating of the combustion air.
