Abstract

The composite slab of insulating material (1) lined with metal sheet (3, 3a), used as a roof covering, has the metal sheet bonded on each of the major faces, with pressed edges for overlapping. Underneath the sheet is folded vertically into a hairpin bend (15) and returned square (14) over the slab edge. The abutting sheet is similarly folded back horizontally into a hairpin bend (7) and then returned square (8) onto the slab edge with a further hair clip termination (19). Outer sheet edges have overlapping trapezoidal trough formations. A transverse projecting trough (13) which is formed adjacent to the top slab edges is enveloped by a trough sectioned overhang (16) from the slab above. This latter detial may include a compression seal (17).
