Abstract
The static magnetic generator uses permanent magnets allowing the direct production of power by transfer of the intrinsic magnetic field energy to windings feeding a load circuit. The generator is analogous to an orthodox transformer in that the magnetic circuit is closed and the intrinsic static field is internal, the power being derived with little internal loss to the excitation force. The magnetic circuit has two loops with a common centre leg, the permanent magnt being in one leg only. The centre leg includes shims of a paramagnetic material increasing the reluctance of this path. Transistorised switching controls excitation of the two legs not containing the permanent magnet and the output derived from windings on these same legs.
