Abstract

The multi-part moulded cassette comprises a base body (15) with inlet and outlet slits and a lower wall for the ink ribbon and a top cover (16) with webs (53, 55) and an upper wall of the ink ribbon guide. Interlocking peg connections are used to form a compact coupling of the base body and top cover. The horse-shoe-shaped chamber in the cassette stores the ribbon in the form of vertically arranged loops (6). An ink ribbon guide between the advancing elements is double-walled in construction and has openings for advancing and pressure rollers. The inlet and outlet slits in the front surfaces of the side parts are arranged at an angle of 45 deg. to the vertical and together form an angle of 90 deg.
