Abstract

The adjustable grill for use over an open hearth comprises a grill area and a stand. An elongated rod (5) with a grill head (6) on one extremity constitutes the grill arm. The stand has a T shaped base (1) with a single vertical post (3) extending from the base. The connection between the grill arm and the stand post may take the form of two parallel lugs (8,9) emanating from the arm (5) and gripping the post (3) under the wedging section applied by the arm movement. Alternatively the lugs may be provided in pairs at various heights on the post. A further alternative uses a slidable counterweighted Z clip which locks the stand post and the grill arm together at the desired height. The stand may have spiked feet which are driven into the ground (2).
