Abstract

The tray is erected from a one-piece blank of corrugated cardboard. It comprises a single thickness bottom (2) and double thickness sides and ends. These are formed by folding the outer (8) onto the inner portion at each end and side. The double thickness is folded perpendicular to the base and the corners (11) folded in. A triangular piece (12) is formed by their flaps being glued together. Each side (4, 6, 9) is similarly erected. The inner face (4) has oblique end edges locating against matching edges on each end flap. The contacting areas near each corner are also glued together to provide rigidity when stacking (13, 14).
