Abstract

The flap (10) is pivoted to a lock portion (5) formed at one end of the strap (1), the pivotal motion being transverse to the length of the strap. When the strap is looped on to the lock portion and the flap is closed, saw-tooth elements (11) on the flap engage opposite saw-tooth elements on the strap to retain the latter, and an undercut lug (13) on the lock portion projects through an opening (12) in the flap to releasably retain the flap closed. Bridge pieces (8, 9) on the lock portion extend over the strap at opposite sides of the flap to guide both strap and flap in operation.
