Abstract

The apparatus for distributing fibrious material and adhesive onto sound and heat insulating panels has a reservoir (1) for the fibrious material located on the top of a frame, delivering the material into a carding chamber (2). The carded material is forced sideways into a blower unit (3) for discharge at the bottom through a tube (4) so as to pass between a set of nozzles (6) from which liquid adhesive is sprayed. The blower drive motor drives two paddle wheels inside the reservoir at the top. The carding device is a rotary drum armed with bars carrying steel teeth so that a very efficient action is obtained between teeth on the fixed part and the moving teeth. The speed is variable, to permit processing different types of material.
