Abstract

The removable hydraulic dam comprises one or more water-tight caissons resting on the edge of a reservoir/dock and closing it off by means of shoes (19), having a continuous joint (3) all around the lower surface. The caisson is divided into two (5, 11) by a platform (10) located at such a level that when the level of water both outside and inside the upper part (11) of the caisson is identical, the weight of the caisson is nil. A pump is located underneath the caisson linked to the outside by a pipe. The underneath of the caisson is linked both to the outside by a pipe controlled by a valve, the outlet of which is situated below the low-water mark, and to the lower area (5) of the caisson also by a valve-controlled pipe. The upper area (11) has a pump linked to the outside by a pipe and a valve located below the level of the dividing platform.
