Abstract

The guide allows the insertion at the fronto of a typewriter of a document, the machine having a moving printing head travelling back and forth parallel to the front surface of a fixed roller. It has a moving deflector (30) coupled to the head support (10) and following the to-and-fro movement of the latter. The deflector is a flexible strip between the head (40) and the front face of the roller (12), guiding the document towards the latter. There is an aperture in the strip through which the head can print without difficulty, and means are included (21, 23, 24) to keep the strip tight enough without affecting movement of the head support unduly.
