Abstract

1437974 Inking apparatus ROLAND OFFSETMASCHINENFABRIK FABER & SCHLIECHER AG 21 June 1973 [21 June 1972] 29612/73 Heading B6C A printing ink fountain comprises a duct roller 6 and a duct blade 5 made up of a plurality of relatively, movable sections, each of which has an associated slide piece 9, constrained in a guide to move together with the section in a direction substantially perpendicular to the length of the blade and provided with means for adjusting its position. The guide may be sealed by elements 20 or by a cover, and the sections may be in contact or be separated by a sealing agent, or by a material of higher elasticity. An elastic bar may be interposed between the sections and the roller, or the blade edge may be in one piece of an elastic material and the relatively movable sections be separated by spaced slots in its rear part. Preferably the guide limits the sections to movement in a plane containing the axis of the roller.
