Abstract

The lorry or trailer deck has a front part, solid with the chassis (6a) and a rear loading ram (6b) which is hinged to it and a sliding section (10) inside the hinged part. At its rear the sliding part has a lip (14) which can be housed flush with the deck and which is chamfered. Thi hinge assembly (5) is situated behind the axle but adjacent to it. The hinged part is a hollow beam inside which the sliding part is housed. The tilting of the hinged part can be done electrically, - pneumatically or hydraulically. The rear of the vehicle chassis (16) is bent downwards to the angle made by the sliding part with the ground.
