Abstract
1331641 Dumping trailers W N POWELL A F POWELL and H ANDERTON 15 Dec 1971 [5 Nov 1970] 52621/70 Heading B7B In a bottom discharge trailer the walls of a load carrying compartment are slidably mounted on a chassis to which the base of the compartment is rigidly attached whereby the compartment is opened or closed by relative movement of the chassis and walls. An endless belt 30 attached to front wall 35 extends over rollers 31, 32 mounted between opposed ends of chassis longitudinals 15, (16), (Fig. 6, not shown) which also support the base 21. Rollers (68) (Fig. 6, not shown) carried at the rear of each longitudinal bear against a longitudinal carried by each side wall to assist the relative sliding movement. Legs 45 carrying ground engaging wheels 50 are provided at the side walls and are movable between a stowed (Fig. 4, not shown) and an operative position. Means are provided (Fig. 7, not shown) to vary the height of the tow bar 24 relative to the chassis.
