Abstract

The bottle-corking machine incorporates a cork hopper, mechanism for delivering the corks to a point above the neck and for gripping the bottle before insertion, and a mechanism thrusting the cork home. The bottle is secured by means of support plate (20), a two-pronged fork (24), and a conical-section socket (14), movable up and down. The support plate can be fixed to a screwed vertical shaft (21) turnable in a fixed part of the machine, and equipped with a control handle (22) and a locknut (23) to allow plate height adjustment. Each fork prong is mounted in a plate (26) with one or more drilled holes in which the prong can be adjusted, while the plate itself is supported by a horizontal bar (27) along which it can slide. The bar has a bush, which enables it to slide up and down a vertical bar fixed to the machine.
