Abstract

The windscreen wiper motor is fitted with a contact cam plate (11) on which the three wiper contacts (14, 17, 20) which controls the wiper action, are fitted. These control the automatic parking of the wipers. The windscreen washer pump (22) is provided with a separate wiper contact (23) which acts in conjunction with an additional cam (24) on the outside of the cam plate. This ensures that the washers only operate when the wipers have started their sweep cycle and stop before the wipers. This ensures a minimum use of washer fluid.
