Abstract

Extensometer clip comprises two mobile arms (3, 4) articulated in the same plane on a common axis, (2). A rod (8) threaded with two opposing threads (8a, 8b) connects the mobile arms by means of nuts (5, 6) articulated on the adjacent ends of the arms. Jaws or claws (3c, 4c) are positioned symmetrically on each arm. An attachment system is provided at the longer edge of the arms and on the side opposite to the threaded rod. The device enables deformation measurements to be made at high temperatures (up to 1500 deg.C) all material undergoing stress, especially ceramics.
