Abstract
The bolt (300) has a threaded shank divided into two parts (303) and (302) by a plain portion (301), the diameter of which is equal to the core diameter of the thread. The bolt (300) is pushed through a hole in the cable lug (10) and the nut (110) is screwed over the end section of thread (302) until the locking slit is over the plain portion (301). The bolt shank is then slid into the slot of an attachment fixing and then the lug is pressed against the fixing so that a dowel pin engages in a locking hole. The nut (110) is then fully tightened, the spanner torque being resisted by the dowel pin. When removing the lug the slackened nut is retained by the end thread (312).
