Abstract
The rotor has a number of curved blades (2) (3) (4) (5) and is mounted on a vertical shaft (1) supported by a structure (20). A semi-cylindrical housing (6) extends around half the circumference of the rotor and is extended to form the wind deflector (7). The wind blowing in the direction of the arrow (F4) is directed against the blades of one half of the rotor which is forced to rotate. The blades of the opposite half of the rotor which are moving in the opposite direction to the wind are shielded by the housing (6). The vertical vanes (8) attached to the horizontal beams (9) maintain the housing (6) in the direction facing the wind, as the finned element is mounted on a fixed support base.
