Abstract

The upper (1) is mounted on the thin wooden inner sole (2) by bonding the lateral edges under the inner sole. The thick sole (4), which can be made of wood or synthetic material, is shaped to form the heel of the shoe and has a thin rubber sole and heel (5, 6) bonded to it. An intermediate thin layer (3), made in material which can undergo slight deformations such as felt or rubber, is bonded to the top of the thick sole. The inner sole is then bonded on to this by means of pressure.
