Abstract

The water jet pump restricts the outlet flow rate to a maximum extent which is independent of the pressure in the supply pipeline and hence it saves valuable water. A screen (40) is arranged on the outlet side of the housing and a perforated partition wall (20) is arranged upstream of this screen in the housing. The partition wall is connected on the downstream side of the partition wall with air inlet (56, 58) in the housing. A pressure dependent throttling ring (24) for controlling the flow through the perforations of the partition wall is arranged on the upstream side of the partition wall. This throttling is a circular seal made from flexible material which is centered in relation to the perforations (22) and it restricts flow through these perforations.
