Abstract

A tube joint with ease of connection and disconnection for an unlimited number of times and flexibility of application, has a body(6) containing a ring seal(10) and retainer (11) in an annular groove(2) and having an abutment(1) for the end of the pipe. An annular slotted spring tube grip(4) is also contained in the body and a conical face(3) causes it to grip the pipe when an end load is applied by the screw(5). This end load may be produced by conical faces, or simply by a screw thread(9). The assembly screw(5) is hand tightened and may be retained by spring loaded balls(7).
