Abstract

Two skis (1) are used, having an elongated shape narrowing down to a point at each end. The underside is provided with two downward projecting stub fins or keels, one near the stern (5), the other near the front (4). These have an anti-roll effect and are aligned to prevent the skis moving apart. In the centre of each upper surface is a well (2), this being used to locate the foot of a person standing upright on each ski. An adjustable strap (3) holds the foot, being easily released in the case of an emergency. Propulsion is by a hand operated double paddle.
