Abstract

Turn-over device, for a number of pre-forming cylinders used in the industrial mfr. of cheeses, incorporates a basket provided with a hinged cover, and fitted with small wheels with rubber tyres. The basket is mounted to rotate on a massive frame on half-shafts which run in bearings. One of the half-shafts is fitted with two levers, at right angles to each other, these carrying weights; to stabilise the basket in one position for filling the cylinders and in a second position, reached after a 180 degrees turn. During the turn, the wheels run on a roller track as the basket is tilted. The cylinders are kept in the vertical position during filling by housings formed by cross-plates. The device provides a convenient means for simultaneously turning over a number of pre-forming cylinders through 180 degrees from the filling position.
