Abstract

The regulation of low flow volumes medical transfusions or for use in the chemical industry is performed by a variable throttle downstream of a droplet chamber. Drops of liquid (21) from a nozzle (18) fall into the partly filled (19) droplet chamber (17). The drops pass through electric cell (24) at the input of a signal processing circuit (25). The output signal is compared (26) with a programmed value from a calculator (27) and the difference signal operates a motorised (28) throttle (29). Power supplies (30) and manual control with audible or visible alarms are also provided.
