Abstract
The watch casing comprises an outer element (1), made from inoxidisable sintered metal powder, e.g. of nickel or chrome steel, of brass or of bronze, and an inner metal sleeve (2), which may be made from the same metal or from a different metal, and is relatively thin in comparison to the outer element (1). The inner metal sleeve (2) surrounds the watch mechanism, and has the watch back and watch glass secured to it at either end. The inner sleeve (2) is placed in the mould used to obtain the sintered metal element (1), so that the two are fixed together by the contraction of the latter element after the sintering process.
